My lasts days in Joburg were really nice, I spent the last few days there just with a part of the team, because we had some delays with our visa, so Akona, Ania, Thai Ben and I spent our last weekend together in South Africa.
On Friday, we invited one of our South African friends (Moshe) to the hotel, we prepared dinner and he came with his guitar and a book full of songs. We drank some wine, lit some candles and we passed the night singing. We had a bohemian Friday!
On Sunday, Akona took us to a beautiful market in the city, full of different stuff… food, art, clothes, earrings, Indian stuff, African artwork, wooden rings, and thousands of hand made things.
I would have loved to take everything with me, but everything??? Ha it would be super expensive, anyway, I decided to take the best: P
On Monday we had our flight to Australia, I really was very anxious about Australia, so I packed everything, Arie, one of the owners of the house where our farewell was hosted, invited me to eat before I left South Africa, he was very nice with me.
Tuesday evening, finally we were in Sydney!!!!
I was so excited, from the airport to our new flat; the city was running so fast.
My first days in Sydney have been the best! On our first night I went out with Kareem, Steph, Takash, Thai Ben and Luisa, we went to a bar that had 90’s music, so everybody knew the lyrics, (especially me ha-ha) so I spent all night singing.
The next few days were very busy, I mean, I’ve only had 3 days here, but had an interview with a local paper, and today we went to a radio station.
We have to complete a lot of tasks in Australia, but the good one is that we are going to throw a Christmas party… so lets see what happens!!!

South Africa – it’s BEAUTIFUL!!!

Really this is a marvelous place to be. It’s green everywhere; windy and sunny….
Here you can feel the very nice atmosphere. The weather is weird here, the people here in South Africa say that they have the 4 seasons of the year in one day, and let me tell you that this information is true.
This is a wonderful place; we are staying in Camps Bay (Cape Town is on the other side of the mountain).
The nightlife here is incredible, they have thousand of options to do. There’s this big street called Long Street, which is full of clubs, coffee shops, bars and restaurants so you have a big menu to pick from.
On Thursday I went with Takashi and Thai Ben to shoot one of my videos to a very original coffee shop called Mr. Pickwick, and they had the tastiest milkshakes I ever tried. Posters of The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead were part of the deco of this original and nice place for eat and drink.
After that we went to a very nice lounge place called Julep, very comfy and hidden between the streets of Long Street, lounge music, soft lights and small and wooden furniture and made me feel good in this place.
After that we went to another nice place called Fiction… I can tell you that I felt in love of this place. It’s a small club with a big balcony just in the corner of Long Street, they were playing Drum n’ bass and they had 80`s deco, a big TV, with a memorable picture of Mr. T. On the wall was a projection of the legendary Godzilla.
The people are really friendly here, and there are good looking guys everywhere!
We had our accommodation in a beautiful beach house, with swimming pool, and a front view of the sea. We stayed at 100 metres walking from the beach.
We have made a lot of friends here, we were invited to a private party, and it was a fan party for this band playing live called The Parlotones, so the theme of the party was punk! Everybody has to be dressed up like punks or emos, and we had lots of fun there!
There was a party in this street that I have mentioned before (Long Street) a very weird party… like an 80`s party, with neon and strobe lights, sunglasses and nerd fashion. The people seemed like if they were from the past… and the music was killer - it was like an electro-clash music
There’s also, the Front Port, that is full of seafood restaurants, and in the nights it’s a beautiful place for a romantic night, you can see the sea, and lots of lights by everywhere.
By day there’s a lot of activities in Cape Town, there are beach volley ball games, surfing, sky diving etc…I decided to go for an activity in the beach, not in the sea because the Atlantic water is really very cold, so I decided to go kite boarding in sand lessons, its good. After South Africa, we are flying to Australia, and we will stay there for a month…so I have found the perfect activity for me in Australia… and here and in a lot of different destinations that we will visit with the Smirnoff Ten.
On our first “tourist trip” we went to Cape Point, it’s a mountain so you get there by a cable railway, you just go up and it’s possible to see the immensity of the cold and blue Atlantic Ocean. It’s amazing to see how you are standing on a beach and all surrounded by water, and think about that now I’m miles away from my home.
I never really have thought before about coming to South Africa.
After that we went to see the penguins! Oh they are beautiful… all in small groups taking the sun. I wanted to huge them all!!!!
And for sure, I know that I’m going to Johannesburg, but one thing is true… I think that one of these days I’ll move here, and why not, stay fore ever!
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE CAPE TOWN!!!!

BRAZILLLLLLL!
Sunny and rainy days, full of colours, textures and flavours…music and rhythm, that’s how I can describe the beautiful Brazil. A mixture of colours and traditions.
When we get out of the plane, the Diageo people waiting for us in a super SMIRNOFF Van, I couldn’t believe it, it was great… ha-ha!
After that, they took us to meet the finalists to become the tenth member of the Smirnoff Ten. It was awesome and everybody was incredible.
Finally our tenth member has joined the team: The beautiful Luiza.
Dance dance dance… this is the real nightlife in Brazil, that’s how I can describe the it in this beautiful country, because people here really know how to dance, they are so kind and warm.
Samba, bossa nova, rock, drum n bass, chill out, lounge and trance music… you can find what ever you look for in Brazil, Sao Paulo…Big city, big buildings, a lot of people, restaurants, places and parks.
We went out to a lot of different places, Marco (our guide) took us to one place with this beautiful bossa nova music, Later, drum n’ bass… we danced all night, we also went to a place with live music and it was awesome - everybody was dancing like crazy (boogie boogie boogie! Dancing shoes keep me dancing all night!) till they closed the place.
We also went to Guaruja, a beautiful beach one hour from Sao Paulo. When we got there it was raining, but only a little bit, so we decided to spend a nice, relaxing weekend there. Everybody was super exited with the idea of having this weekend in the beach. Marco (our tour guide) got us one small flat for our accommodation. The next day, we spent the whole time at the beach, the feeling of the sand on my feet was delicious; we were playing volley ball and truly it was a big opportunity to get more integrated with the rest of the team.
Surfing on the Internet I found a Big TRANCE FESTIVAL called the XXX Experience, so Takesh, Kareem and I decided to go. I have been to a lot of different festivals around the globe, but this one was incredible, the visual arts made it with LED’s and super big screens everywhere. The decorations were full of colours, dragons, butterflies and dragonflies and the place was huge!!! There were like 20,000 people, and then it started to rain! We decided to stay; for sure the rain will stop…. Ha! It didn’t but anybody has moved, everybody was dancing an dancing until sunrise…we were all covered in mud, but it was great so we didn’t mind.
This was my first trance festival in this Smirnoff Experience and it was one of the best trance festivals I have ever seen in my life (I’m sure that they are more waiting for me).
Next destination : South Africa!!!!
