Really this is a marvelous place to be. It’s green everywhere; windy and sunny….
Here you can feel the very nice atmosphere. The weather is weird here, the people here in South Africa say that they have the 4 seasons of the year in one day, and let me tell you that this information is true.
This is a wonderful place; we are staying in Camps Bay (Cape Town is on the other side of the mountain).
The nightlife here is incredible, they have thousand of options to do. There’s this big street called Long Street, which is full of clubs, coffee shops, bars and restaurants so you have a big menu to pick from.
On Thursday I went with Takashi and Thai Ben to shoot one of my videos to a very original coffee shop called Mr. Pickwick, and they had the tastiest milkshakes I ever tried. Posters of The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead were part of the deco of this original and nice place for eat and drink.
After that we went to a very nice lounge place called Julep, very comfy and hidden between the streets of Long Street, lounge music, soft lights and small and wooden furniture and made me feel good in this place.
After that we went to another nice place called Fiction… I can tell you that I felt in love of this place. It’s a small club with a big balcony just in the corner of Long Street, they were playing Drum n’ bass and they had 80`s deco, a big TV, with a memorable picture of Mr. T. On the wall was a projection of the legendary Godzilla.
The people are really friendly here, and there are good looking guys everywhere!
We had our accommodation in a beautiful beach house, with swimming pool, and a front view of the sea. We stayed at 100 metres walking from the beach.
We have made a lot of friends here, we were invited to a private party, and it was a fan party for this band playing live called The Parlotones, so the theme of the party was punk! Everybody has to be dressed up like punks or emos, and we had lots of fun there!
There was a party in this street that I have mentioned before (Long Street) a very weird party… like an 80`s party, with neon and strobe lights, sunglasses and nerd fashion. The people seemed like if they were from the past… and the music was killer - it was like an electro-clash music
There’s also, the Front Port, that is full of seafood restaurants, and in the nights it’s a beautiful place for a romantic night, you can see the sea, and lots of lights by everywhere.
By day there’s a lot of activities in Cape Town, there are beach volley ball games, surfing, sky diving etc…I decided to go for an activity in the beach, not in the sea because the Atlantic water is really very cold, so I decided to go kite boarding in sand lessons, its good. After South Africa, we are flying to Australia, and we will stay there for a month…so I have found the perfect activity for me in Australia… and here and in a lot of different destinations that we will visit with the Smirnoff Ten.
On our first “tourist trip” we went to Cape Point, it’s a mountain so you get there by a cable railway, you just go up and it’s possible to see the immensity of the cold and blue Atlantic Ocean. It’s amazing to see how you are standing on a beach and all surrounded by water, and think about that now I’m miles away from my home.
I never really have thought before about coming to South Africa.
After that we went to see the penguins! Oh they are beautiful… all in small groups taking the sun. I wanted to huge them all!!!!
And for sure, I know that I’m going to Johannesburg, but one thing is true… I think that one of these days I’ll move here, and why not, stay fore ever!
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE CAPE TOWN!!!!
